Time is a Flat Circle

Tuba Yalçınkaya’s exhibition “Time is a Flat Circle” is going to take place from 14th of March to 21st of April at Öktem Aykut. Circle looks like a straight line when it is looked from a certain angle. What if we are looking at time, as a person looking at a circle from a fixed angle, without perceiving its dimensions, repetitions and motion? Deriving from the succession of construction and destruction in the millions of years of history of life on earth, Tuba Yalçınkaya suggests us to evaluate her third personal exhibition where she builds an alternative, post-human future along with the theme of circularity of time that has been conceived in different contexts from philosophy to popular culture through the ages.
